Technical Analysis Doesn't Work

Hi Traders,

There comes a time in ones life when after all is said and done a view has to be taken to rid from ones mind the background noise that is Rcanfel et al.

It is self evident that there is cognitive deficit and a distinct lack of self awareness about rcanfel et al, & considering the markets are indeed 90% Psychology of the self it is also clear that their current career paths will most likely not demonstrate any profound success beyond that evidenced by caged monkeys performing a coin flip test.

Relief and distance is required. In order to do this we need to employ the use of all technology available to us.

For fast relief of any more buffoonish and ill considered views..click the name of the person you wish to block and simply add them to the block this user list and viola! all their postings become invisible for ever more unless the option is changed.

I feel a light relief in knowing that on this occasion only ignorance is indeed bliss in blocking rcanfell et al from my visual range.

I highly recommend it... now you too can enjoy a more focused and relevant ET experience with higher plane thinkers.. take the high ground today block away, block away, block away....

Finally Rcanfel... I feel sorry for you so Im going to help you. Im going to suggest one book that will start you on a journey of better self discovery. If there is only one book that a trader ever reads. it surely has to be this one..The book I absolutely beg you to read is this:

read it with an open mind...see where the journey takes you, you may be surprised to discover things about yourself you didnt know before, it may even reverse the status of laughing stock you have acquired through your replies in this and other threads.... this is an absolutely genuine solution for you.. help yourself.. before its too late and before you ( clearly will at some point) blow your account to smithereens and be forced to take a regular joe job somewhere outside of trading .. like Insurance or something.. because thats where all this talk from you is headed dude... Please wake up...

Ok, That says plenty about your aspirations and skill level if you think that 4% or whatever it was (about equal to inflation) is an achievement.

My point stands: you have NO qualification whatsoever, as far a I can see. But at one point you tried to hawk a service, and it seems you express aspiration to do so again...."I may do something for a service in the future, but that is my choosing, not others"... but I have not seen anything that shows me a craft or a skill.
All you have done is- unwittingly- shown that for you, TA does not work. This is about as interesting as some low level guy claiming that for him, Quantum Physics don't work. They don' t work for him because he can't master them, they are beyond his capability.
That does not make H. Peter Duerr ( Max Planck Institute, eminent Quantum Physicist) a fraud. It just makes you a guy who can't understand what Duerr is talking about.

Of course, there are 2 kinds of people who don' t understand people like Duerr:
- The ones that aknowledge that they don't understand and admit so. Those are the ones with Character, and one day they might gain some understanding
- The ones that attack Duerr and claim that he does not know what he is talking about. They do this - I assume- because they envy Duerr, and they would like to be him... don't think that they will ever get the point.

Stop ducking the challenges with long winded claims. Get up and fight like a trader. Stop hiding behind the SCT, Hershey and other questionable methods that you have seduced others into believing

PROVE IT WORKS OR STOP LITTERING THE FORUM WITH EMPTY PHRASES.

Many profitable TA users in that thread putting up some consistent big numbers.

In fact, what's to prevent you from just going to that thread and post your broker's profit/loss statement without challenging anyone and without asking for their TA codes. :confused:

Go ahead...post your trade results (broker profit/loss statement) for today anywhere here at ET so that you can properly challenge Proflogic or anyone else. :p

Doing such should only take a few minutes.

I"m just curious.

My god... don't you ever get tired?

I will gladly pay someone $1000- that's a Stop or 2, IF the person can teach me something new and profitable. (Correction: since your stops are moveable events, this analogy does not apply to you). A Stop or Two is nothing in the long run. If I learn just one thing that makes me avoid one stop or two in the rest of my trading career, the lesson has paid for itself.

And, as a matter of fact, he did (teach me something new and profitable).
That does NOT mean I am an acolyte or a believer... if I had not learned something useful, I would not say so, and I have no interest whatsoever in pushing anybody's seminars. I am learning from Spyder and Jack H. too, and they do not charge one red cent.

On the other hand, I would not go to a seminar with you or your buddy Rcanfiel unless YOU paid ME. Why?
Because you have nothing to impart. You have nothing to impart because you can not trade. Why do I say you can not trade? It is clearly visible from the trades you take. Such are the perils of a journal.

That is the main and important distinction.
