Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was target of shooter; accomplice suspected




Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and federal District court Judge John Roll were shot when a gunman opened fire outside a congressional event at a Tucson, Ariz., grocery store Friday, killing six people.

Roll, Giffords aide Gabe Zimmerman and a 9-year-old girl were killed. But Giffords, who was rushed to the hospital for emergency brain surgery, is expected to survive the injuries she sustained when a bullet passed through her brain. Nineteen people were shot at the Safeway store, but Giffords was the intended target of the shooting, Arizona law enforcement officials said at a Saturday evening press conference.

The VA Tech shooter was a leftist as well as I recall.
 
None of this is any surprise. It was just a matter of who, and when. I just shouted into the other room, 'it's happened'.

Back in 2009, the congress had only it's fifth private meeting in it's history. It was called so they could protect them from us. Senators from that summer on carried guns. So, it's some fringe meatball who capped an innocent victim. But, that being said.............

We have a government that has done nothing but line it's pockets, put its Citizens in the Street, played the public for the fools that we are, until we all have nothing. Your friends are out of work , can't afford health care, can't feed their families. The rating of the US congress is 23%. Except they're all rich. What the fuck did you think was going to happen?. The absolute arrogance of the assholes that inhabit the Hill had to lead to this result.

Just think. There was an election. And it was like it never happened. They just ignored the vote in December.

Tragic. Yes. Senseless? Not sure. It made "sense " in the fact that the US Government has disenfranchised so many people, that there was no outlet for the rage. It's just a total disrespect for the masses, and one guy, maybe two, went over the edge. And you know what? They'll be more. Remember in 09 when all that ammo was sold, and there were shortages? You think they used it up shooting paper targets? This is how civil unrest mushrooms.

What a mess. And like I say. It's the assholes on the Hill . They brought this on all of us. Now, they sweat. They sweat the next nutjob. They're thinking, "maybe it's me next." Maybe they'll wake up. That's the only good thing that could possibly come from this. But mark my words. It's just the beginning. We brought all this on ourselves by letting them run all over us. It's the beginning stages of anarchy. A nine year old. An innocent little nine year old. An economic recovery could stall this while the weather is still cold. Only thing we know for sure is, the weather will get warmer. Guess what the chances of that are?
 
Well when you have 16.5% underemployment/unemployed. That is a lot of pissed of people with time on their hands. Shit happens in spurts, remember when you had that spurt of school shootings? Well now you have your first kill. What usually happens is other nutjobs will follow and this political/economic turmoil + lots of rhetoric and its only a matter of time.

The shooter is not a confirmed leftist.I know the right believes if they say it its true .That might work with other righties but not with everyone else
