TDAmeritrade Trading Platform

Hi Guys and Gals,

I posted about the Thinkorswim platform but am now not to sure if they run the same platform as Ameritrade even though they appear to be affilliated. It could have been either platfor? I'm hoping that someone on here knows the platform and what other brokers may be using it as these will not accept accounts from Australia. Thanks for you help.

thinkorswim was once an independent platform and brokerage but it was acquired by TD Ameritrade. Prior to the thinkorswim acquisition, TDA was primarily focused on long term investors. But thinkorswim gave TDA what it never had, which was products and services that catered to the active daily trader. The bottom line is that the thinkorswim platform is the most advanced of all the TDA platform offerings.
