Hi all, newbie here.

I am thinking of opening an account with ThinkorSwim.

I presume they would also participate in the practice of Hypothentication (just like MF Global and Interactive Brokers)?

Also could they hypothenticate away my funds/holdings only if I pledged my stock as part of a margin account?

I'm thinking ThinkorSwim is "safer" than a lot of brokers, given that they have an AA- rated parent in TD bank standing behind them.
