TC2000, TradeStation, or something else?

Okay, I'm just starting out in trading.

I'm currently a TC2000 Platinum subscriber. However, I have heard a lot of good things about TradeStation and am considering switching to them. It seems the monthly fee for both is about the same.

I'm a short-term trader. Which is the better trading software? Or is it something else entirely?
 
For short term trading you can use a simpler broker platform and backtest in something like Amibroker or Multicharts without paying a fee.
