Tax Tea Parties... Do they mean anything?

That one is simple gnome. Populist logic states that it is better to deal with the devil you know than the devil you don't know.

That would have even worked for McCain if he hadn't tried to cast himself as a "tweener". Obiviously he had no tales to fall back on about being the middle child. Bush was cast as the oldest child, Barry was the baby. This is how the plebs saw this at some subconcious level I think.

It will have no influence until it gets violent, and it will eventually get violent. Detroit will be in flames, literally, by summers end.
It's not really about taxes, it's about people being financially strapped with little prospect of better days to come.

For there to be a "prospect of better days...", I think the USA needs a total revision of its tax policy... expand the tax base to make it as wide as possible with something like a national sales tax or VAT.... and low corporate taxes. (The way things are and are proposed for the future... "tax the rich and successful"... foreign corporations see the USSA as the LAST place they'd ever want to invest.)

America needs to become "tax and business friendly" such that foreign companies will invest their capital HERE.. employ Americans to make their goods.

This Socialistic path NObama represents will be the death of us economically... just like it was for the USSR before it collapsed... only question is "how long will it take"? :mad:

Everything you say here is exactly right IMO, but remember that Vice President Joe Biden said a month ago that paying taxes are patrotic . . .
 
I guess the majority of you people suck at trading and don't know what it means to pay capital gains.

As traders, you should support the tea parties regardless of whether they do not have a strong following yet.

For a market economy to grow, taxes must be low to provide incentive for businesses. The US also did not have a income tax until 1913... we operated fine for 150+ years.
