Tax Software

I am new to trading and am scared to death when it comes to tax time. Does anyone know of any good accounting softward out there that is affordable for the p/t trader?

How many trades do you do a month?

Just make a template on EXCEL that has the same columns as a "Schedule D" and you are good to go. It takes all of 3 minutes to enter the data daily, just cross reference the data to your statement/confirms. At year end, total it, print it, send it to Uncle Sam.

Yes. If new to trading, the tax software is called "a CPA." he can get you started down the right road for years to come.

Unless of course, you use Technical Analysis, then you won't make any money anyway, right rcanfiel?
