You also made numerous grammatical/spelling errors. My third-grader writes better than you. At least he knows what a proper noun is and usually knows where to place apostrophes.

1) A tax is still a tax, whether it affects you or not. There are plenty of smokers who make less than $250K.

2) Read the freakin' health bill. Taxes are mentioned. Of course, you probably listen to the idiot Congressmen who didn't read the bill either.

3) Whether Obama's horrendous Tax-n-Trade is passed or not, the fact remains (a) that his administration wants it to pass and (b) it will be a tax on most Americans. Hence, he is trying to pass yet another tax to the >$250K crowd. He's lying yet again.

4) Same as above.

Consider yourself refuted. Now go back and mindlessly chant "yes we can" the next time your messiah is in town and promises to transfer more money from the hard-working to lazy entitlement junkies. And stay out of the voting booth until you at least get a basic grasp of logic, math, grammar and history. At this point, you're just another brainwashed drone.

This is going nowhere fast. You did correctly identify the ad hominem[\], but it was in your rebuttal, not what I wrote in response.

The facts are that Obama has

(a) Broken his promise (repeatedly) to not raise taxes on the $250K+ crowd. It doesn't matter if you don't smoke or trade futures. His taxes (or proposed) taxes will affect those who do. (Sorry, but this isn't all about you, nor does the world revolve around your axis. To say that his promise is still valid "because he wants to raise taxes but hasn't" completely misses the point. By your logic, if I try to shoot you and the bullet narrowly misses,
I shouldn't do any jail time.

If you can't see the holes in your "rebuttals" for points 1-4, I'm not sure what will make you see the light. He HAS broken his promise (tobacco and health care...again read the bill) and he's trying to break it in other ways. So he's lying--no ifs, ands, or buts--just like he lied about pulling us out of Iraq as his first presidential act.

As others have stated, $250K is a completely arbitrary figure anyway, since the cost of living makes $250K very different based on where you live. But that's typical Obama demagoguery, preying on the envy, greed and lack of critical thinking skills of his blind followers. More than anything, he's attacking small business owners who will scrap plans to grow or hire new employees if it sends them to the $250K category.

(b) Taken over a huge chunk of the economy in just two years (though he has zero executive/business experience...he couldn't run a 7/11 if he had to).

(c) Run up the deficit and burdened future generations FAR more than any other president in such a short time. And it's true that he (and Bush and many before them) "inherited" some of the problems they face. However, his post-election stimulus and future spending (cost overruns on health care will grow exponentially...just like SS and Medicare) are an absolute travesty. It would be much better to "complain about other people's solutions" as you stated than follow his course. The last time the parties argued and we largely had gridlock was great (remember the late 90s and reduction of gov't spending?). I was no Clinton fan but he was a moderate economically and once he lost his useful idiot support in '94 it was great for the country. Gridlock is our best scenario at this point.

You had other logical fallacies, and poor grammar reflects a lack of careful thought and/or educational gaps...but I digress. If you can just realize that "trying to do something" is almost always the wrong solution (especially for a clueless idealogue like Obama), we've gotten somewhere. Otherwise let's just close down this discussion.

Yes, he had all of the centrist, "Trust me, I'm a different kind of politician" rhetoric, but if you listened to any of his policy platform, he is doing exactly what he said he would do.

Did he not run using health care reform as a major component? Did he not say many times that he wanted to "transform" America?

My point is that if you listened to him and looked at his previous voting record, he's doing exactly what you should have expected.

The problem is that the average independent voter makes their decision based on the most charismatic candidate.

I didn't vote for Obama, so don't put me in the "DUPED" category. If you fall into that category, then that's your problem.

Anyone that voted against Obama and donated money to opposition candidates like myself, can rightfully be pissed at his actions.

But anyone that did vote for Obama, should not be surprised with him in the least. He had the most liberal voting record of all Senators prior to running.

His number one issue, was health care reform. What did people expect? He talked about "sharing the wealth", and "transforming" America. What did you expect from a Harvard lawyer, community organizer?

Some definitely bought into all that, but no one with an iota of intelligence should have.

In his short stint as a senator, he had perhaps the most liberal voting record of any of his colleagues, which included self-proclamied socialist Bernie Saunders. Considering this and his books, interviews, connection with Jeremiah Wright and other nutjobs, etc., it should be no surprise what he's doing. There's absolutely nothing "moderate" about him past or present.

Once again, though, much of America is now about as gullible as 1970s Jonestown. They fall for hype, spin and direct lies from the media as easily as any brainwashed cultists.
