tastyworks announces fee structure

Remember TOS rates for options are all in, so no exchange fees. So if you are trading the SPX, or VIX options, you need to add about another .55 per contract for most other brokers, which I would assume includes Tastytrade.

So does anyone actually have an open account yet?
Not yet...waiting for the invitation. Said it's gonna take awhile to work through the volume. I like that they're easing into it to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Saw this on twitter.

Tried to get TOS to match Tastyworks commission just for fun, & here's what they said. @Tony_BATtista @tastytrade pic.twitter.com/TtF1jTomUP

I just opened an account with them. Looks like it is a legit site - they're listed as a SIPC member. Is there anything else I should check before I wire the money?
I've never dealt with a new brokerage - my accounts are with TD and IB and they've been around for a while so I wasn't that worried about not getting my money back.

Did you have to fund the account to download and open the software, or just open the account?

Once you open the account you need to wait until it is approved (took about an hr)
once it is approved you can download the software (I've a Mac and the download works on MAC as well) - very similar like TOS - when you launch it it's java based and it downloads the most recent release. You have live quotes with the software right away - my account isn't funded yet - still have to wait for the ACH to clear.
