i do not want to engage in Woodie bashing

it is counter productive and hence in the end totally futile

some folks will like things others wont

i have nothing against Woodie,though he might not like me

in my prior post i merely tried to give an idea of a framework to learn to trade
there was no Woodie bashing

i have said in various venues tht screen time is critical and i still beleive it is but it has to be quality screen time ...using a playback and being honest etc

i have said tht till i am even boring myself saying it

there are many ways to trade look at tim morge who uses an andrews pitchfork...always thought the name was cool,,,,,,

place your effort toward things tht will have a long term benefit for you

gb007 and others have already cited the stats many a time ...most will fail and it is usually thru lack of work..but dont belive me ...message gb directly

exactly, olmikey...good trading to you and I sincerely hope that your goal is to help other traders and open their eyes to the various charlatans out there. Traders are an independent bunch of "folk" that should embrace learning THEIR OWN" way to trade and to encourage one another to do the work necessary to become profitable. If there was a stumbling block out here to warn others about, then we as traders should help one another avoid the likes of the "good woodie rooms" and other chatrooms that do not share in the sole purpose of furthering independent thought and opening their eyes to the "WHOLE WORLD OF TRADING"

All you "Good Woodie" members who are afraid to contibute here in ET, because of fear of being banned or ousted by the clan at Woodies spasm called a chatroom, open your eyes and break free as Tampa has. There is a world of profitable trading out there waiting for you, instead of being contained in the "small world of an old man and a bunch of housewives who should not be trading" claiming their day of fame.

my goal in saying wht i did was to give a framework

it is not now or will be in the future......regardless of wht folks think...to expose charlatans as you say

my goal is to make a living doing something i like and am good at

please do not ascribe motives to me which are not there in the first place

i have recently spent a while thinking about it and while i might not agree in totality w the things folks say. there is validity in wht they do say

ergo i would like to focus on the aspects tht i so love,,namely to trade and in turn to help others see something tht i see and they dont or to learn something from them tht they see and i do not

i freely admit tht all of Woodies trades are not for me, but some most assuredly do...ill even tell you which ones i particularly like..please bear in mind tht others might have a totally different and equally valid list


i like reverse or hidden divergence trades since they are contination patterns...i like tlb when they happen in the direction of the trend...ive come to like the horizontal tlb though it is hard for me to see at times...for me a ghost is simply a matter of a failure to make a new swing high or swing low and tht is how i see them....i use and adore Woodies pivots on a daily basis as i ahve found them to be highly valid over a long period of time.......do i personally use the six bar methos??? ...no...i prefer the 34 ema tht has been so well popularized by GB007......it is interesting to note tht at most times when the 34 ema is trending the cci is below or above the cci zero line as well.......i like three pushes to a top or three drives to a bottom and i will always be looking for REGULAT divergence there..........do i like the lsma..not really too much since it doesnt speak to me.......do i like price patterns like flag patterns...yes absolutely but flags and pennants are classical technical analysis....do i like bands?? well i dont know how to use them to thier best effect.......keltner channels are slightly better but i am still learning....do i personally like or follow the shamu...no i dont..even though Woodie renamed them the Famir shamu....and you know the respect and love i had for the late Dr. Amirparvis.....i also use basic fibos but tht again is well known to Woodie and the entire room ...


other folks list of thier preferred trades will no doubt differ from mine...they are not right nor am i totally right...wht works for me might well not work for me and the reverse

even though i have not been able to recognize a ghose pattern and this isnt a secret either..i have seen it employed very effectively...the same is true of the Famir shamu...i watched the late Dr. use it to great effectiveness

the whole point in this is to say tht you only need one profitable pattern be it tlb w trend shamu ghost etc etc etc tht speaks to you to make a decent living

I would hope tht Woodie would agree with some of this but not necessarily all

Forget about me, but listen to the others - they're your people, Woodie - and they're trying to talk to you. It's too bad that they have to come to a place like this to do it...

Tampa I'm afraid the only thing Woodie learns when he visits here - and be in no doubt that he reads every word here - is that people have cottoned on to the motives of the room.

Gone are the days when the room was a pure trading room geared to educating people in how to trade. It is now a profit orientated commercial room dedicated to growing in numbers - hence the splitting into three and the triplication of attendees - with the ultimate goal of being a paid room. Any additional income from tradealongs and charting commissions add nicely to the pile.

Ego has taken over from humility. The objective is to be more famous than any other trading guru - hence the demand that every room member register for events where Woodie is speaking - thus developing the semblance of cult following.

The charitable aspect that once seemed so noble is now nothing but an excuse. Isn't it strange that women account for his most fervent accolytes - maybe they cannot see through the hypocrisy and concentrate on mothering the ' little boy lost' image.

Samson gave us a good example on Friday of much that is wrong with the room. Instead of moderating on the charts and possible trading possibilities, he spent his time ranting and raving at Woodie detractors - and this board in particular - just as any cult follower would get lost in the fervour of the moment and chanting the mantra 'this is the best trading room in the world'..

Is it really any wonder that rational human beings cannot identify with such behaviour and look elsewhere to voice their displeasure knowing that Woodie trawls the internet looking for former room members and knowing that he reads this board regularly.
