Iâve told you all about the trouble I have when âBad Bobbyâ gets his fat little hands on Mister Mouse â it ainât pretty. In over twenty-three years, âBad Bobbyâ has not had one profitable day â not one!
But I donât think Iâve mentioned his cousin â âBobby the Space Cadetâ. This trouble maker hogs the computer, and allows trade after trade to escape. It has nothing to do with fear or intimidation â itâs just plain inattentiveness. âBobby the Space Cadetâ has the uncanny ability to check for e-mail just as a blockbuster trade is setting up â or to be mindlessly gazing out the window â or talking on the phone.
So I come upstairs this morning, hot to trot, ready to go â but before I can get settled in, âBobby the Space Cadetâ knocks me out of the chair, ties me up, and shoves me in to the closet.
By the time I freed myself, the day was over, and a ton of trading opportunities had come and gone. The moron made one trade all day â bagging five points total on a three lot.
Think this sad tale of woe sounds a little fishy? Well, I donât care â thatâs my story, and Iâm sticking to itâ¦

Look, itâs not my fault that you canât make up good stories to cover for when you just plain blow it â I can, so go stuff it!

Woodie will be in Dallas the night of 18 January to address AftTA. I would go and flame him myself, but I will be out of town. If you go and do something heinous, no one will know but you and me!

If there is one common reoccurring theme on this âjournalâ, it would have to be concern for the so called ânewbiesâ You want to know something â I donât share it.
Maybe itâs my own history of pain, humiliation, frustration, and despair â the I suffered, so you should suffer thing. Or maybe itâs a cold hearted streak I didnât know was in me. Or maybe itâs something else â maybe itâs tough love.
If some poor fool thinks that a certain charting package will pave the road to success, than let him learn the harsh reality. I just got rid of a box full of off the wall software that was going to do the trick â but didnât â Iâll bet youâve done the same.
If some poor fool thinks that all he has to do is master the zero line reject, without knowing anything about market dynamics â so be it. The poor fool and his money will soon be parted. So much of this game is common sense â if you come to the table without it, tough.
If some poor fool thinks that an elderly gent in Arizona has just developed an astonishing new indicator, and wants to share it with 700 of his closest best friends, then let the poor fool be the first in line to try it out for his own risk.
I donât know of any other game where the seasoned participants feel sorry for the new kids â the new kids who want to walk away with your money, without paying the dues you had to pay.

London England: Prince Harry was photographed at a friend's fancy dress party
Prince Harry has apologised for wearing a Woodieâs CCI Club armband to a friend's fancy dress party.
Clarence House issued a statement in response to a photograph published on the front page of the Sun newspaper under the headline, "Harry the CCI Nazi".
It read: "Prince Harry has apologised for any offence or embarrassment he has caused. He realises it was a poor choice of costume."
But there have been calls for the prince to make his own public apology.
Tory leader Michael Howard told BBC Radio 4's Today programme Prince Harry should appear in person, rather than talk through a spokesman.
The Board of Deputies of British Jews said the costume was in "bad taste".
