Quote from sinewave:
i wouldn't take this thread as a referendum on woodie's room so much as an indulgent, seductive plea for attention on tampa's part to gather an audience. and of course, a venue for embittered day traders who may not have yet found their niche. no harm there, and it's fair enough. obviously the seduction worked. i will submit into evidence the fact that here i am posting to this thread. tampa/big_cheese is an exquisite humourist. and i have said as much publicly. but let us call a spade a spade, shall we?
i believe that it is most unfair--ugly, small and spiteful, in fact--to take aim at those who are not media professionals yet persevere nonetheless toward helping others such as myself. i consider myself an expert on the willingness of certain individuals (e.g. woodie and gio--to be specific) to help others. you see, i have been a long-time recipient of their help. and they have dragged me, kicking and screaming, toward disciplined trading. gio herself has spent a great deal of time and effort helping me. you can only imagine my gratitude.
as far as i can see, and given what i read on these threads, it's not often that one receives such help--for free no less. so this attracts bashing? well, go figure. gio, woodie, barbara, gb...so many others have reached out to me to help me along my way. so what? what is the matter with all of you anyway?! why aren't you just trading your own methods?! hell, use moving averages, stochastics, tea leaves, cci, magic 8 ball, jet contrails over manhattan, london paris, venice, a oijah board, whatever. use whatever method you wish. the method doesn't matter. the discipline does matter. and so does the mentoring.
as for posting trades, well, the trades i post are for my own benefit. but i post all of my trades--losers and winners. again, i post losers--all of them. i take great care to post my trade entries in real time and with as much detail as i can include. i type each detail. you cannot declair that losing trades are never posted in woodie's room unless you are also prepared to admit that you are unable to read.
if literacy is an issue, you may contact me via pm as i volunteer with the NY Public Library adult literacy program. i can help you to find the right program on a confidential basis. illiteracy among adults is an insidious problem against which i work very hard, and toward which i devote a great deal of time.
