May I step out of character for a few moments, and talk seriously about Woodieâs CCI Club?
Woodie draws a lot of attention for two main reasons.
1) His method is unique
2) The room is free â except for the HotCom charge (about $23 a month)
I think itâs fair to say that most people who enter, go away unable to master the method. Itâs not for a lack of help, but more of a misunderstanding of what is involved. Itâs a method, an acquired way of trading, rather than a system with exact rules.
It is anything but a quick fix for a hemorrhaging account. It requires a lot of hard work and commitment. It may, or may not be what you are looking for. The big plus is that itâs free â there is nothing for sale.

The drawbacks- and there are several â are also basically misunderstandings. Woodie, and all of the moderators use e-Signal. The room provides a remarkable application/add-on trading panel that draws the Woodieâs CCI charts, and automates many of his signals â and it is free of charge. There are also applications for TradeStation and Sierra Charts that do almost the same thing. There are some members who feel pressured into thinking that they must subscribe to e-Signal to successfully trade the method, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Another drawback is the room it self. While veteran members freely offer help and advice, the overall atmosphere is that of a clique â and woe to the newbie who steps out of line.
And there is still one more problem â Woodie. He is a one-of-a-kind. He genuinely wants to help and teach people how to become successful â about that I have no doubt. He gives of himself tirelessly. He is a kind and gentle man â grandfatherly in looks and sound. But like all of us, he has his quirks and idiosyncrasies. He can be petty, and spiteful. And for all that he gives, he can also take. As an example, the applications for TradeStation and Sierra Charts were developed by members who have since fallen in to disfavor and left the room. Yet their hard work is retained, and given away by the Club.
There are those who have described Woodieâs CCI Club as a cult. I would disagree, but concede certain cult-like comparisons. They are to be found mainly in the way that the inner circle behaves and is treated by some members. Most of the inner circle are fine and decent folks â a few are aloof and arrogant. And again, woe to the poor soul who crosses them.
Is the room, or the method for you? Can you cut the mustard and make some money? Maybe, maybe not. There is a lot more to Woodieâs CCI Club then first meets the eye. Would I recommend it? Well, yes â but keep in mind that I am âtampaâ, and if you have read my journals, you might want to reconsider my endorsement.
