TAM - Foul Play by Insider in Takeover?

Quote from Casey30:

If you were watching the news there was a headline at 3:14-15PM on Bloomberg. The options trades your referencing weren't till 3:21 PM and thereafter. I was able to buy some as late as 3:24PM. So I wouldn't always assume foul play on these things. It was y a slow Friday, so it didn't move right away on the news. Also, no one knew the price immediately either so it was still a gamble.

great feedback, thanks.

This li'l pup showed up in my auto-trades Friday. Sold it for a 50% gainer (just the stock, not ops). Not bragging, it's just that I almost NEVER get a winner like this...

Good trading to all.

That's Southern America for you, what did you expect? There is a reason why most of these developing nation instruments are traded thinly.

Here is a insider trade made before Placer Dome was bought out by Barrick Gold in 2005. If my memory is correct Placer Dome was a $20.00 dollar stock at the time.

http://www.resourceinvestor.com/News/2005/11/Pages/Cracking-Down-on-Tipping-and-Insider-Trading.aspx
"According to the SEC, on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26, unknown persons used nonpublic information and overseas bank accounts to buy more than 10,000 call options of Placer stock. When Placer shares [TSX:PDG; NYSE:PDG] soared 20% on the news, the unknown persons made more than $1.9 million in profits."
