Some/all of this reporting about some Americans who do not want to leave is bogus as we will find out down the road. Yeh, it is a big and complicated world and some guy who has American citizenship but married to an Afghan woman or two and has six kids there might want to stay so I don't rule out some instances here or there.
But in a large number of cases Americans are telling the embassy that they do not dare to leave from their outlying region to try to make it to the airport so are going to hunker down, and the Bidenistas are saying they don't want to leave. Really, tell me about Americans who are refusing but you are telling them that you are coming to get them if they want to go.
