Taliban in Kabul as President Flees

here in Van Z post... we see Andrea Mitchell tell us Biden's own cabinet secretary Gates wrote a book saying Biden was always wrong on foreign policy.

Here we see:

He is dunning kruger personified. In part due to his memory issues but even 20 years ago... he was almost always wrong on policy. Similar to John McCain.
Both were so frequently wrong it was scary.

B1.... you gotta watch this.
I have it queued.
Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC last night slams Biden.
It's about 2 minutes long, take it to the end where she says "its an embarrassment".
:D

Biden, "Always wrong on foreign policy". 50 years of being wrong it should come as no surprise he screwed the pooch on this withdrawal. What would Corn Pop do Joe? Even Corn Pop knows better than Joe.

I am not sure yet that I believe these ISIS reports.

It is convenient for the Taliban to blame some of what they are going to do at the airport on ISIS. And it will be convenient for the Pentagon clowns to blame it on ISIS too rather than to acknowledge that they have been the Taliban's bitches throughout this debacle.

I don't trust any of them. In fact in most instances I trust that they are flat out lying to us with this happy face stuff at the press conferences. It is all bullshiite.
We are abandoning Americans behind enemy lines.

US concerned about 'very specific threat stream' from ISIS-K against crowds outside Kabul airport

You're right, they will point fingers at ISIS if one of their own goes rouge. A pickup truck with a mortar is all it's going to take to shutdown that airfield.

It looks indefensible. Its too narrow.
They need to be running patrols outside their perimeter. They might be, but that wouldn't be "under orders" from the buffoons at the top. If they're not then they are completely vulnerable to whatever is going on outside the wire. Shit gonna get real pretty soon

Need about 25k combat troops back in there real quick to clean up Biden's Saigon.

One of the things that is dirty and ugly is that the Americans are cooperating with the Taliban to make sure that people do not cross checkpoints unless they have solid documentation. In that way, the Taliban is helping to reduce massive crowds/mobs pleading for their lives as the last person is accepted through the gates. It is so-so for now because the Taliban are mostly out at some perimeter and many people are in fact still being evacuated. But once the rumor of "last call" goes out it will be entirely different as if it is not already a total disaster.

Then, the Americans will be relieved of the ugly duty of beating them back because just letting the Taliban arrive at the airport will cause them to have to flee from that area.

Ugly, just ugly.

I'm sure the troops on the ground are running some of their own ops. Problem is, if Tali come hard they're already at the perimeter and will be inside the wire in no time. It's close combat at that point. Our boys will hold their own, but without support and resupply they'll be overwhelmed sooner than later. I don't know exactly how outnumbered they are, but if the tali go all in it's going to be a fucking fight to be remembered.
