The war served the profiteers objective. To imagine that $2.2 trillion was wasted by US (and billions by other NATO allies) and no-one is held accountable is unsettling.

It actually made the situation worse than it was because now the Taliban will use US equipment to wage warfare in the region and now you have millions of refugees desperately going to EU and US.

Next time someone says "taxes help build roads and hospitals", I should use this as a perfect example of taxpayer funds being wasted without any repercussions.
