I did not see the Afghan armies and people rising up to defeat the Taliban or prevent this so let them have what they wished for. Not our fucking problem anymore until they start exporting that shit with terrorism. Then we can bomb them from afar. But U.S. troops don't belong there.

People act like losing Afghanistan and Vietnam were some major foreign policy countries of power and influence.

Vietnam was rice paddy farmers with rifles fighting in jungles, we left... they went to shit for a while before they changed their form of govnerment and embraced the West. Afghanistan will be some taliban islamic fuckers running the country with no economy or global influence and simply fall apart within a few years.

This is what they want.... tired of reading about U.S. soldiers dying in Afghanistan for nothing.
