Taliban in Kabul as President Flees

Biden getting ready to speak and try to baffle us with bullshiite. Don't believe a word he says or anyone around him. We are in deep shiite.

We are also getting a dose of the "we can examine things in detail later but now is not the time to do finger-pointing." Yeh, well, that has a nice logical, civilized feel to it. Except we are still in the middle of the train-wreck and the same disastrous players are taking us in deeper.

My mind harkens back to - I think about two or three years ago- when an Alaska Airlines pilot was removed from the cockpit because the crew refused to fly with him. The guy was so drunk he couldn't even stand and was about to take off with a full load of passengers and crew. Some could have argued that "now is not the time to be looking at mistakes made or finger pointing." Arguably it was. A full intervention was needed. Such is the state of the White House.

Joe can't get everyone out in a week and the Taliban is saying it isn't going to play nice.

This is going into Jimmy Carter hostage rescue mode.

I can picture Joe having to come out and tell America we are re-invading and face a smartly armed opposition now... that we armed.

The winners usually do. They won, we lost. This is like a trade gone bad, really bad. Trying to claw back will be a very lengthy process and frankly not worth it. Sadly the losses are not only in dollars, but human lives as well. No worries though, Jen is sending all of those non stranded people a really sweet text with a smiley face.

Fox reports that Milley and Austin have told Biden that if we leave without Americans they still have a plan to get them out.

I don't even know how to process that. The LED light on my forehead just flickers turns to red and goes blank.

Maybe the report is wrong. Let us hope.
