This cartoon depicts how we got into the Afghanistan mess in the first place. Taiwan is not our responsibility. It should not serve as a proxy war with China.

I see all of this pumping of Taiwan as the next US military action if we are not in the middle of the consequences of the last military mistake.

The United States is not the global police.
 
Jacob Lew, Obama's labor secretary is bloviating away on bloomberg right as I type.

He just did a long rap on how the root cause of the disastrous exit in AFG is the Trump because the intelligence agencies allegedly suffered such insitutional damage while he was in office.

The bloomberg bootlickers there are all nodding and eating that up.

The reality is that problem is that we have a Russet Potato for a President.

I could throw a dart a map of the U.S and go to the closest Pizza Hut and within a few minutes find a handful of people who could have put an exit plan together that was light years ahead of the bullshiite one we got. Light years.

At one of the press conferences yesterday, some reporter asked a very pithy question: "How could this happen when we have always been told for years that the militarty always plans for everything." Sullivan moved her along very fast with a "now is not the time" pushback.

Yeh right. Trump weakened the institutional intelligence agencies so no one there has a brain anymore. The lefties never have a good argument but they always have an excuse.

We have thousands of Americans and allied workers trapped in AFG who are 100% dependent on the Taliban for their safety right now. If the Taliban wanted to wipe all of them out, they could do that. That is what you call "catching a break." No American should be caught in that situation as a result of a totally demented and botched exit strategy.

Your quote says "the military side" is picking up. Meaning that if you made it inside the military controlled airport things are picking up. The issue, though, is about the thousands trapped outside the perimeter or in other parts of the country who cannot get there. What's the plan there? Oh, I see Hoping to catch a break.

That's our plan? Trying to catch a break and hoping that the Taliban not kill Americans who are under Taliban control now. Biden Beltway planners at work. The same ones that brought you the mess we are in.

Unfortunately over $1b worth of "weaponry" was left behind. Be assured that every Taliban who once sported an old AK-47 has a shiny new M-4 and lots of ammo.

Some of the stuff like helicopters will quickly fall out of flightworthiness but the guns represent a problem... a problem that was avoidable by anyone with a functioning frontal cortex.

I'd say gun control is over in the United States. Joe Biden never gets to lecture to me about guns again.

Well thanks for the recap of what we know. The point is we are actually catching a big break right now and things are moving.
