Your BIDU March 260 PUTS (BDUOV) would have been worth 100K today had you held. If only someone had tomorrows newspaper today you could turn 1K into a billion in a month.

Would you guys rather have that or the power to turn invisible?

Yea, it feels at times the market is out to frustrate you as long as possible.

Weekly Update for week 10 ended 03/22/2008

Another bad week, down 6.4K. Made some error of judgement in my discretionary trades and my automated did not fare much better.

neke,

Please set a good example for us (for me actually), I don't want to struggle in 5 years. I want to trade on a tropical island in 5 years and make money consistently. On a second thought, I don't mind a coastal city in Florida, Internet connection is more reliable than a tropical island.

:)

Oh I don't know, tropical islands are pretty reliable most of the time:cool:

What is going on Neke? Every week I check back to see big numbers from you.
Go back to basic to get your mojo back.

I know you can do it.

Goodluck,

Neke,

I think your day job doesn't mix with this "fading" style trading, especially against those that do this full time. Why not swing trade a small part of the account? Even in this market there are some sector trends out there. Or design a system that trades supports and resistance levels?

Next week a new week..

Weekly Update for week 11 ended 03/28/2008

A positive week, up 8K (8%).

Racked up some gains in my automated strategies, coupled with a net positive on my discretionary trades. No stand-out trade, but determined to play with consistency and according to the plan.

With one trading day left to round up the first quarter, it is appalling that I am just barely positive (+5K). The bigger winner has been my broker (up 8K on commissions). Glad though some good foundation has been laid for a solid Q2, as I have determined rules to cut down on non-profitable strategies which have been a drag on my performance.

what was the idea behind shorting MA?stock seemed a bit strong that day

In some of these names, I do sometimes short when I think the move in the short-term is extreme, in anticipation of a reversal.

Thanks for posting neke. I don't know where you are in your trading journey ...

Last year you rode the market like a wild bronco, making spectacular moves in one moment only to get tossed over the rail the next.

Now you're like a man who is learning how to trade again. Taking everything step-by-step in a slow, methodical fashion.

... but it's interesting to watch and see how your growth as a trader continues.

Good trading.
