Our ancestors died fighting under that flag, and many if not most of us today wish they had won. They were fighting, not for slavery, as very few owned slaves, but to oppose an oppressive federal government headed by a radical president elected by a narrow and unrepresentative slice of the country. If Nitro and the other usual moaners are so concerned about war crimes, genocide, etc then the flag they should be protesting is the US flag. Lincoln approved war tactics that constituted war crimes, then and now, eg attacking civilian populations, using mass starvation as a weapon, rape and pillage of defenseless civilians, executing prisoners, etc etc. Lincoln, members of his cabinet and certain generals such as the psychopath Sherman would likely have been hanged as war criminals if they had lost the war. Instead, they are celerated as heroes since the victors write the history. Just as we did after WW II, where we engaged in indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas in both Germany and Japan.

Why stop at the North vs South then? We should round every American and hang him for the crimes committed on the American Indian. What about the Spanish against essentially the entire world during the Dark Ages? What about the revolving door of atrocities for FIVE THOUSAND YEARS in Israel? What about the Japanese and the Chinese? What about Germany against Europe ending in two world wars? The list is literally endless with one people imposing their will on another. The losers, LOST.

What it comes down to is this. Wars used to be fought all the time, and one side won and the other lost. The loser either died, or was forced to submission, culturally later assimilated into the winners culture. Of course, this usually happens both ways and it is not clear that the one that won the war is the one that won the cultural war, e.g., Romans vs Christians. But that is a detail. That is the entire history of the world pre WWII. Now with nuclear weapons, you can't run over people anymore.

Get used to it. Every culture in existence has the same beef with their conquerors. It was musical chairs as to who conquered whom until recently. The south got their ass kicked, rightly or wrongly doesn't matter. You live in the US. If you don't like it, or I don't like it, move. Or start another war and see how far you get. Go to France and see how people feel about Nepolean, EVEN TODAY.

Either way, take down that flag that stands for a period in the US history that is nothing to be proud of. You don't live in the Confederate States, you live in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

I do not care who the dem nominee will be, they will get my vote, regardless of their age or gender. So if that nominee is not Hillary, I will not be voting for... wait for it... Hillary.

A lot of people think the same way as you. They will never vote for anyone other than a democrat because they are afraid of losing their welfare check.
 
Well that didn't take long now did it? Less than a week ago we were talking about one flag in one spot. Today multiple businesses have taken the flag out of their stores. Twelve other southern states have some reference to the confederate flag in their state flag. All 12 are under assault to change their flags. Monuments and statues are now offensive. Street names must be changed too.
It won't be long before we get to words. The is where they left eventually goes with everything because that is how you control behavior. Everyone walks around on egg shells and ultimately all speech just gets shutdown. Perfect in the mind of the leftist. Like I've written here a hundred times, the left has no interest in a conversation about race or anything else. The left gives lectures. You listen, nod your head in agreement and then think and do as you're told. This is the leftist utopia.
Millions of useful idiots on the left are jumping for joy. Of course they believe that they will be among the chosen few, immune from the tyrannical scrutiny. The Russian gulags were full of those who had similar ideas under Stalin. it's all good until they come for you, and make no mistake, they always come for you at some point
