Then it might be better not to trade with real money at all, not even these kind of evaluation accounts.

Trading is though enough when life is going well and there aren't any financial worries, let alone when dealing with medical issues and being tight on money.

Before you spend any money on this i would suggest you make sure you actually know you can pass, by opening a demo account, following the exact same rules for draw down, max position size, profit, ... and complete the challenge on demo 3 times in a row.

Then and only then you might have a real shot at passing these kind of evaluation accounts.

It seems they are going to change evalution and payout structure in coming weeks to a month.

Would I be better putting a few hundred to five hundred into my broker? Trade my own money. I want have leverage though. Will have to deal with PDT and T2.

Have you considered futures? With micro contracts - you could start trading one micro with $500 ($50 intraday margin per contract with most discount brokers).

Honestly, it's most likely a way too small sum anyway, but in principle, you should be able to start out with $500 assuming you trade only one micro contract.

MNQ (NASDAQ 100) is moving nicely these days.

I don't trade futures.

I saw that which is why I suggested you could consider micro futures. It would solve some of your problems if you considered it, but I don't know what your strategy is.

The daily range so far today on one MNQ contract is $204.5 dollars.

Personally, I would not have enough capital myself to trade single stocks, so thank God and CME for futures.

There's a guy here who are trading stocks through a prop firm. Maybe it could be of interest.

Good luck.

Thanks. I prefer to stick to stocks. I think I'll save up 1k to 2k if can and back to my offshore broker. No PDT and get 6 to 1 levy. They have 500 minium.

Funded trading accts - the new gold rush for the ones selling it. The dangling carrot on a stick.

The premise is that the vast majority will rinse out trying to pass the levels taken on SIM. The few that do well & actually get a real funded acct are terminated for any B.S. reason. These places are making tens of millions selling SIM trading.

There are no shortcuts with trading - do yourself a big favor & save up enough to trade your own $.

I have never heard of anyone getting terminated for some BS reason except for rules that were made clear during the evaluation stage.

Sure those rules might be BS, but they are known in advance and most of the time the same as during the evaluation stage.
