Systemized profit-taking?

...I am undone. I will never try to out-cynic you again. We might as well let it all out. Sell Friday, buy Monday. Buy the Tuesday open, sell the close. In an uptrend, buy every open. Sell every open in a down trend. Fade gaps. There. I said it. Now it won't work any more.

FWIW, I backtested this over several months (10:30) pivot, and there seemed to be some edge (even without support levels-- I just sold short if it was higher than yesterday's close and went long if it was below, with a trailing stop).
