For trading platforms itself, take a look at Thinkorswim and/or IB; both have plusses and minuses.

As an option MM I used Actant Quote. As a "customer" to can use Actant Exstream. It uses scripting to execute your strategy. Are you trading equity options or options on futures? For options on futures, Option City is worth a look.

You can use IB's API to do this. It's not hard to get started with their API provided you have a programming background. If you're looking for tools to help you analyze data and find opportunities/algorithms, those are easier to find.
