So I was downloading something and then I got some virus

Had to reboot my Sony Vaio to factory settings

Everything is fine except that my PC will not recognize my graphics card (I don;t know the brand/model number)

I use 2 monitors but it is only recognizing 1

Please help! I want my old 2 monitor set-up back :(


EDIT: it is recognizing the VGA controller (I am getting the Found New Hardware and is asking for the original CD) but I don't have the original CD that it came with

Is this a desktop or laptop?

You got to know what graphics card you have. If it is a desktop, shutdown the PC and open up the chassis. Unplug the graphics card. The make and model info are usually presented in some small print stickers (or some are etched onto the circuit board).

Once you know the make/model, you can probably find the driver available for download on the web.
 
To find out what hardware you have...

- in the Device Manager (devmgmt.msc), double click on the unknown device

- go to Details and look up the Device Instance ID

- it will say something like PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_10D3

- enter your PCI vendor code (like 8086), device code (10D3) at www.pcidatabase.com
