Germany owes Greece $100 billion from WW2, perhaps they could begin paying Greece and others back since Germany did say they would repay the debts when Germany was reunited.

Greece should ask this to Germany. But not Germany but Europe and the ECB gave loans to Greece. They have nothing to do with all this and should be paid back correctly. So even if Greece should receive money, it cannot be compensated with third parties.
Greek politicians behave like typical socialists: try to spent OTHER people's money. That's their speciality.
Unfortunately they will have to continue to pay. Not a single politician in Europe can take the risk to play Santa Claus with Greece, because this could be the start of the end of Europe, and logically also the end of their overpaid job.

The new party will take steps in line with its election promises - ie in a democracy do what the the voters want who voted them in.
1. they have stopped the sale of important Greek assets - shipping and power
2. they are planning to crack down on corruption of the rich with previous govt and to catch tax cheats
3. and they are going to renegotiate an unpayable debt.
I think they will move ahead on these and to the third if trioka refuse and push them out of the EU then they can wipe out their $300b debt to it. Right off the bat this will be a huge boost to their economy.
So the discussion could be around what will happen to a fragile (and inherently flawed) union.
If Italy and Spain also follow the break-up could gather steam.
So would a break-up prick the balloon of Fed's S&P balloon?

Let me get this straight. You are saying that defaulting and getting out of the euro would be a huge boost to the Greek economy right off the bat? And that would be an intelligent discussion for you?
If the Germans had any sense left they would get rid of Greece and then Italy, France, Spain, Portugal ................Well you get the drift.

They promise paradise but will fall when their promises can't be met and should be jailed for their lies and deceit.
