Switzerland, France and Germany all have zero medical bankruptcies.

This is called a trend in any body's book:

But you are right in that France/Europe should have been better prepared, which they have been since 2003.

You have to cherry pick data to show a trend you like? Your data stops at 2000. Temp falls after that...

Ok so the government shutting down health care for vacation is not neglect? It is by American standards. Its disgusting to hear a so call civilized country would shut down its health care system to let a bunch of unionized losers go on vacation. Do Police and Firemen take off too in France?? Just curious.

Maybe if the government had been "open" those people would have had someplace to go. You think??

As far as blaming the weather why can't we just blame disease for killing people. That way we would have a perfect health care system.

There has never been any evidence that hospitals had been closed and the optimum number of paramedics was always maintained during the crisis. It is interesting to know that the health professionals (GP's) with the least government control (private and local clinic) were actually on holiday or at least 20% of them. France was never prepared for such high temperatures and the North in particular where air conditioning is almost unknown in a family home was hit badly . Anomalous weather conditions and the emergent of virulent pathogens has never at any time been dealt with satisfactorily by either state or private health care.

Umm, you may want to take a second glance at that chart... must be a fundamentals type guy.

But you are right about the cherry picking part. A true chart would start some 4 billion years ago and show the earth cooling (from lava) to the present time.
