Switch from live trading to paper money in TOS

Is there any way to switch back and forth between your live account and your paper money account in thinkorswim without closing out of the program and logging back in? Maybe it is an obvious feature and I am just missing it.
 
I see this is an old post but I too would like to know how to do that without having to completely log off.

I guess you never tried. You just open the program again, switch the toggle and log into the other version. The 2 versions can run parallel. The only difference is that although the charts and quotes are delayed in paper trading, the trades are still executed in real time/price.

You can also have TOS open in multiple computers at the same time.

Learned this the hard way. If you have an actual account, call TD and ask them to up your paper account to real time.

Alternatively, log into your regular account and click on "On-Demand" to go back in time. Any paper trading you do there will be as live as the time frame provides.
