Swing Trading

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a course or a book or a service that provided good swing trades. I'm looking to invest my 401k and try and get some better returns. I'm relatively young, stable job, good salary, and I would like to swing trade. I know of the risks but I cannot daytrade at this point and figured I would ask.

Please no flaming, I know there is no holy grail, just looking for some solid advice. PM me or post here, either way is fine.

Thank you for your time.

Hey StockBagger,

When I first got started in the markets I also considered swing trading. Although I don't do it any more, here's the site I used to get my feet wet:

http://www.swing-trade-stocks.com/learn-swing-trading.html

It's rather well written, and I found it useful. If you don't understand anything written on the site, use Google and keep Googling. Hope this helps! Best of luck on your journey. Remember to start small!

I doubt you will be able to swing trade in a 401k. Most only allow a move once a quarter. But you are correct, if you have a choice, it is better to trade more actively in a tax sheltered account where you pay no capital gains and keep your personal account passively indexed where you pay less cap gains and less operating expense.
