At the recommendation of experienced traders I decided to start a public journal to log all my trades and thoughts on the markets.

Has posting your trades helped at all?


I found that posting the reason for taking the trades sparked some discussion from other traders
.

I also found that posting my exits, both stop loss and targets, helped with my discipline. For whatever reason, committing online in an anonymous forum made me more likely to honor that commitment.

Yes, 0.1 percent. Because I can have up to 50 positions open at the same time it means that 5% of my account can be potentially at risk

Yes it does help - makes me more orginized and responsible. It is a very good idea to add explanations to entries and exits, I will start doing it soon.
