I've been using E*Trade Pro for about 3yrs, and have been very happy with the tools.. after getting your etrade account it only takes a few trades to qualify for the Pro.. but they have a web based program called market trader that offers real time quotes and a nice order tool.. My view on picking an online broker is the more tools the better plus you want a good price and e*trade has a bank also...
