Swift Trade Canada/Hong Kong

Quote from dwl603:

yes you are right you will never get over 9900 BP at swift, so please dont even bother trying to trade with them. 9900 with a 10% payout sucks for such an allstar.:p

shooo go away, or i'll hit you with my blotter.
:D

Thanks a lot zf trader. I'll seriously think about it. The only BIG concern is connectivity with open positions.

I don't think that will be a problem. If you have high speed internet you should be fine. You can do something called a ping test that will give you your speed, but that is only needed for very intensive scalping. Furthermore CME has a "hub" in Singapore were I believe orders get 'time stamped" before going into the larger pool.

Also you might want to think about trading local Asian products. Many Asian futures are very liquid and might suit your time zone better.

Dear Kwancy,

you mentioned "10% Chinese paid-out scam". ? what exactly do you mean by this ?

thank you .

Where do you find these threads... its a year old... but 10& is min payout in china instead if 35%

if u truly make 3 - 4k USD per mth, u don't need a job, thats unless u r b.s.

you can't be serious to be satisfied with 3-4K per month??

It's not that they are paying us 10% of paid-out, but to the branches in China. Not sure if that is the case now since I am not longer at Swift.

Good luck trading

Quote from tradin33:

Trading at Swift is what you make of it. It is just unfortunate that it gets a bad name because most of it's traders have little to no experience, which over shadows the fact that they still have a bunch of talented traders. I know a lot of very successful traders out there who got their start at Swift. Bottom line is that if you can make money prop. trading then firms will be interested in you regardless of where you are coming from.
So do you think that a (successful) Swift Trader can be appreciated by other "ordinary'' financial institutions, such as investment banks and fund houses?
Actually I'm also working in Swift now....in Macau.
