Difference is, Care Homes I see, the other 2 are being careful with care homes to not spread to, although there protecting there elderly not in care homes, there failing at this.

So is the UK and every other country.

I doubt this will be the case.

More likely that Swedish people will force their government to start behaving rationally.

The Swedish government IS behaving rationally. It's other governments who are not.

There is a specific reason I looked at Norway + Finland. This is as close as we can get to an "everything else being equal" situation, with the only difference being government policy.

I REALLY Hope, they don't get forced into keeping people that are end of life alive a bit longer at the expense of everyone else.

Still doing better than the UK and MUCH better than the USA or Spain or France, or Italy.

I still don't see any proof that lockdowns work, short or long term until then, I'm against.

That's because they screwed up Care Homes, not because of a lack of lockdown, we all know the elderly and sick are at risk, they should of locked them down and the staff locked with them.

I'd bet the other 2 aren't including Care Home deaths in there numbers ??

Old people die, it sucks, but it's life, we live, we get old (maybe) and we die, if we don't, the world would be massively over populated.

Old people should not ruin the world for the young to exist barely for a bit longer, If I was 80 I'd be still saying no lockdowns.

I would guess urban population density has something to do with this difference and it muddies the analysis. Hence Norway + Finland gives a cleaner picture to get to the impact of government policy.

The argument seems to be that the economic cost is too high for the sake of deaths. I am not convinced of that either. Someone who has studied actuarial data can chime in on a per capita cost and see where the break even is. Maybe.

vulnerable stay in. Others get out and work and be careful. Do not issue illegal orders to keep people in. Pretty simple. Lockdowns do not work. They certainly didn't in Italy.
