He/she uses good spelling and grammar, though. Add a protective veneer of patient condescension and you have this board's best, or at least most consistent, gaslighter.

I am going to ignore him/her. Not because he/she is merely a troll, or a raging lunatic--I don't think he/she is either--but because I don't want to read arguments you and the other thoughtful people on this board are participating in with a person who's evidence to support is "everyone is talking about it". Colossal waste of time, in an activity that is already a waste of time. :)
The key to being a good bullshitter or gaslighter or any other form of manipulator, is to know your readers. Like in poker, you don't play everyone at the table the same way. Or at least good players don't.

If you try to bullshit/gaslight the "wrong one," you get exposed; hurting your chances of manipulating others.

This particular manipulator never considered the possibility that anyone here could 'figure him out.'

He's probably an ace manipulator among his family, friends, and coworkers.

Or is it pull my crack out of my panties?

I want to give the new administration a chance. I hope they don’t make it unbearably hard to do so.

They don't need your support. It's going to take years for you to unprogram yourself from your current belief system. Trump has really done a number on you.

As America and the world are waking up about Trump and now trying to root them out like weeds in a garden...

Social media mainstream platforms is starting to do the same. It's going to be a trickle down affect because your going to start seeing forum owners and many no longer want to deal with this type of conspiracy theorist quacks, covidiots and many racists...

Forum owners will start to do what Twitter / Facebook has now done...temporary bans, permanent bans, censoring, put a face on them (no more anonymous posting) and many other typical tactics because views / click counts is no longer worth it when you know eventually people are going to be shooting it out outside like real civil war.

Social media were enablers too and the last thing they want to see is the government get involved with their platforms to tell them how to manage its members.

I'd say most of the world has been wise to Trump at least a year or two before he was elected. Most Americans obviously not. My turning point was the Trump Tower in Toronto. The complex project was basically a fraud. Before that I was not really following much about him. As I've posted several times, Trump was only viewed favourably by 13% of Canadians right after the election ( polled ).

... and trillions were spent under Obama weren’t they? I wonder if the House will stop sending big budgets to the President’s desk over fears of a Biden veto? Rhetorical question. As I said, you should have thought about my questions.

Anyway, I may focus on issues brought up by my first post in this thread if necessary. Hopefully Biden does not cave in to every wet dream of Radical Leftists. If Biden does cave in, it will be here in this thread and probably elsewhere.

You obviously aren't good with numbers. The Federal deficit under Trump was huge even before Covid. He was handed a healthy, growing economy under Obama. Bush handed Obama a huge financial crisis worst since 1929. Many posters on here expected a Depression or many years of a comatose economy with no growth.

Most Americans were, although far more should have been.He only won because our bull shit pro slavery EC election system that
lets people win without getting the most votes.

I think a significant number of Americans who didn't vote for him carried a far more moderate opinion on his weaknesses as a man then citizens of many other countries. There seemed to be an attitude that he may be an asshole but his supposed business ability and the drain the swamp outlook made up for it. Here, nothing about Trump is really a surprise, he's the man we expected. The only surprise really is how deeply brainwashed many members of the base are.

That's very true.

I was hospitalized / life support / coma in the fall of 2016. After I came out of an almost 2 month coma...the talk of the town in a French speaking hospital by doctors, nurses...everybody was shock that Trump was elected President.

Every single person I met in the hospital didn't like the guy and were "stunned" by the election results. Some acted as if one of those biblical prophecies was coming true and the end of the world was near.

I looked towards the window and saw snow coming down...I was trying very hard to remember whom Donald Trump was.

This strange looking guy...well over 6 feet tall and built...wearing this astronaut like space suit...he tells me...
  • Your Chicago Cubs won the World Series and you missed it.
I cried.

About 2 weeks later, I realized I was in quarantine and that strange looking guy was one of my brothers that had flown in from South Dakota and then I started remembering everyone else from my family that were wearing astronaut like space suits.

Almost two years later, laughing about that day in the hospital with another brother...I asked him how did he feel about seeing me like that ?

He responded via sending me a link to a video clip and jokingly called me Marlow...

Costa Rica is nice but Panama has more infrastructure and services etc. Aside from a proclivity for cash payments the banking system down there is tolerable and I never had any problems even during a pretty rigorous lockdown. If you obey Panamanian law, make an attempt to learn the language and behave its a good country to spend time in.

I don't care for Mexico. Used to race every year Newport-Ensenada (PHRF-G lol) and it got worse and worse every year until the entire race was disbanded. Baja is just exceedingly dangerous. I'm sure there are parts of Mexico that are live-able but outside a few enclaves near Cabo I don't think Baja is on the list.

In the big picture I think that a largish chunk of the population will be ungovernable including me. What that means will vary wildly of course. Mobility is good but I'm going to keep a footprint here. Might as well since you cannot renounce citizenship and escape taxation anymore.

If you're in a decent financial position and depending on if woke - marxist - cancel culture-socialism or any other pseudo-science gains any more traction in society most people should be fine .
