Surprise Surprise - Cali In The Hole $16 Billion

I guess after seeing what RINO Schwarzenegger did or didn't do for the state the voters decided to try more Democrats instead of a business person who might have been able to turn California around. Of course, the legislature is the big roadblock for California. I don't know if it can be saved now. It's such a beautiful state but it looks like the Mexicans may repossess it from the U.S.

Jerry thinks people will vote for the privilege of paying more taxes.

I think the people will vote to cutoff Sacramento and the bluff will be called.

Let Jerry close the parks and the school, defund the police and fire departments and turn off the streetlights. I would rather be sitting on a darkened street with no police protection or fire department than see one more retired state worker get a union pension larger than his/her salary. Let them all go without.

Quote from 377OHMS:

I was stunned to read that Orange County alone has 10 billion dollars in unfunded pension liabilities.

That is alot of money for a single county. This will be the second time that Orange County goes bankrupt.

I have to laugh. Orange county has been screwed over so often...

Plunder: How Public Employee Unions are Raiding Treasuries, Controlling Our Lives and Bankrupting the Nation by Steven Greenhut is an excellent book on the subject.
