Quote from Ol' Yella:

This I agree with.

Leverage cuts both ways.

However, I do believe TA can be used profitably to trade for a living if the person is well capitalized.

Or maybe if they live in a country with low cost of living. I hear Mexico is really cheap. :D

But no, I don't believe Average Joe's are doing it. If they were you would hear about it.

Some people like privacy, but in general people love to talk about their accomplishments. If people were taking 20k or 50k and making a living off it year after year you would inevitably hear proof about some of them.

Very insightful, Yella.

We have a base line here of folks making $400 per day on a $10k account--- some amazing claims-- not to mention rarely having a losing day due to some kind of supernatural "price reading" ability or something....

Is is wrong to be cynical about this?

Whoa, for you to say this makes me question whether you know anything at all or are just another ND type pushing product, PMA or trolling the surf report for followers ---

Why don't you argue with these morons:

Surf,

Unlike you I have zero interest in gaining any followers or exposure. I think I make that very clear. I have had the honor of trading with some unbelievable traders over the last 20 years. Unlike you I am not going to name names. But I will tell you this, the guys who made it huge did it by managing risk. Knew where to get out, and yes....a lot do use stops.

You are a nice guy Surf. I am sure you are a great guy to have a beer with. You are a good writer. And try not to take this the wrong way......but your knowledge of actual trading and what makes a great trader is non-existent.

You can take all your cute little studies. Those and $1.50 will get you a ride on the subway. Sorry....I've seen too much over the years to know what works and what doesn't.

Ok, thanks for the kind words------ There are many that know far more than I do, I'll readily admit this--- but at the same time, I am not going to believe many of the claims I have heard without evidence. surf

Its not "never lose" its rarely have a losing day. That is what was said. surf

Quote from NoDoji:

I almost never have a losing day.

Never lose was hyperbole-- I apologize if it offended anyone--

This is exactly what I was referring to in your leaders words:

Glad you admitted your ridiculous mistake. I'll accept your apology. :)

Thanks. what's your opinion regarding claims of rarely having a losing day?

I thought even the best traders lose most of the time, just that the wins are way bigger than the losses.
