"Heard me say"... Surf, you really believe that you are the main source of trading wisdom here @ ET? :D

Simply saying: whatever "Big Smart Money" is... that's just someone who moves the market. I care less who exactly it is, if it does move the market in a certain fashion, it's footprints are inevitably to be shown on the charts. That's way enough information for small trader to exploit.


Someone just contacted me-- do you really reside in Siberia? If this is accurate. I understand your defense of FX as its likely the only market you can access.

Absolutely accurate about Siberia... Absolutely wrong about the market... I've had an account @ IB since 2005 as well as other accounts with full access to US, Canadian and European stocks and options, GLOBEX, Eurex and HKEX futures et cetera... Actually I have access to MORE different markets than US citizens do, because of far less regulations in Russia...

By the way, I bet my Internet access is better than most of what's available to the US citizens, being 80mpbs optical line straight to the house with 4G wireless as a backup. :p

Absolutely accurate about Siberia... Absolutely wrong about the market... I've had IB account since 2005 as well as other accounts with full access to US, Canadian and European stocks and options, US, Eurex and HKEX futures et cetera... You seem like an ok guy---although misled--- seriously intense about Siberia-- I am surprised there is any infrastructure outside of military there at all. Are you jacking the military equipment? Who would front the cost for 4G with so small population otherwise?

Yeah, I am married to a Russian--- hope to go visit one day.

Why misled? I do make consistent profits from the "crooked" FX market, what's wrong with doing that? :)

Here's a bit on infrastructure and other information about the city I'm in... just a little bit over 100 years old city... And mind you, there are other similarly developed places in Siberia... Just separated with millions of square miles of wild nature. :)

Wow, i admit my western ignorance regarding Siberia.

If you are telling the truth about "consistently making profits" from the crooked FX markets-- ( which i don't believe unless you have some kind of interdealer arb programs running) you are an outlier, an abnormality-- interesting how all the profitable outliers seem to congregate on elite trader. If you were not an outlier, the FX dealer market could not exist. surf

No need to believe my word, you know my personal page address, everything is there (won't spam here, I am a stealth vendor, remember? :D ).

Outlier? Yes, definitely in the same sense as good musicians, athletes etc. are outliers... Was it Taleb who said that it's extremely hard to succeed in any scalable profession... I think he's somewhat right about it.

But speaking of dealers, I have 6E chart by my side all the time... quotes are exactly the same... Makes me wonder, why would anyone who's successful trading 6E be not successful trading spot EURUSD?

We all have to start someplace, I applaud your zeal and enthusiasm regarding the markets and even FX. However, please don't position yourself as an expert among those of us who do know what we are doing and have a true understanding of how the markets really work. Listening and learning comes before trying to teach-- this is often reversed in the markets as everyone is an instant expert in the TA field.

Not only but including this... It was your idea to start something @ Collective2 or similar place to prove TA works or not, remember? Well, I did, even twice, short-term and long-term. :D

I don't position myself as an expert in anything that's beyond my experience, but trust me, I know how the markets really work, it's not really that complex for anyone with normal IQ... and I have master's degree in psychology and Ph. D. in philosophy after all. :)

What's more important is one's ability to transform knowledge into proper actions so that she/he's able to make actual profits. Are you able to generate consistent profits in any financial markets, Surf? :p

Stong hands can withstand market fluctuations against their position for often enough time for the cyclical nature of the instrument to come back into profits. No idea what a slow hand is.

Great! I wish you would have advised prior to starting, as perhaps you are running multiple programs and only publish this tiny winner? I note this one is 2, what happened to 1 or the others? TA folks have been attributed this characteristic in the past on several occasions. Next time you start, let me know from the start, not after the fact-- but isnt that how TA users think? As demonstrated here, once again.

Why not start your own journal here? Starting from today// I will read it. surf
