Eight years ago today since Katrina, trading then, still trading today. If I posted your numbers day in and out, maybe not. That is my autobiographical memory. Still expecting a much... deeper pullback now.

i guess it is interesting to work personal indicators, apps , etc to predict future market moves...call for corrections, massive bull runs etc.

i for one as a trader say its impossible. furthermore the faster you realize this..the sooner you will be earning actual money. no one can predict future price movement ...no one. i do however believe for short term trading T/A is ok..along with fundamental bias's...short term.

i am certain those of you (surf, strait, among others) do not even remotely believe yourselves with ridiculous predictions if you have any true experience trading markets.

again, my disagreement is with those who speak of long term market "certainties" through nonsense studies. you get it right by chance and you repeat it all over cyberspace....you miss it and say "oh well" at best...as most know here; i prefer to show my abilities through PnL to tell my story.

The pullback prior to 12.31.2013? What do you expect, specifically? thank you, surf

So like a few home-runs amongst a lot of losses? Did you ever consider that luck played a large role? Just curious..

I have had losing weeks, months, and years. But overall in my investments I am net positive since 2002. That's not outrageous at all. surf

Well, the equity curve is far from pre- scandal Bernie Madoff style.

Sure, luck is always a factor in the market and life.

don't get me wrong...i think its fine to have long term predictions, bias's etc.

i would not bet most of my capital on even well thought out statistical conclusions.

there are just too many variables that still are not accounted for..no matter how exhaustive your conclusions are. look at how poorly surf predictions have been this year...and i am not picking on him with that statement...its an objective fact, the predictions have been repeatedly wrong. i would have done no better myself..this is why i trade differently.

good luck

ps to surf: in any case surf..i gave you my basic strat..you wanted a sharing of ideas instead of bashing...

You are welcome to post here anytime, Eprado. Not sure what happened with the other posts. Yes, our bet is now $100 that self moderation will not be instituted by Feb 23, 2014 on elite trader. surf

Surf,

Just curious why you are so opposed to providing your spreadsheet? All this would do is organize 11 yrs worth of your trades for easy viewing. Who wants to look through 10 different journals when a spreadsheet is so much prettier :D
