Zero---- I am syndicated and not compensated per view. If i was, my writing would be a lucrative business!

Do you have any idea what syndication means in this context?

Well, to be kind, this parody of trading is pretty comical so I assume he means like Charles Schulz with his Peanuts strip that's syndicated in hundreds if not thousands of publications. Charlie Brown and the football episode strike me as allegorical here.

I think the problem here is we think of Surf as a trader, when he is not one. He appears to know nothing of the basics of trading, such as risk management, trade management, position sizing, etc.

The mind boggles, but despite his claimed 23 years in the industry, he did not even know what Sierra Charts is/does. By way of contrast, within a month of deciding I would trade the US futures markets, I had researched and knew of all the major futures brokers, terms offered, platforms offered and what the platforms could do in general terms. This was even before I opened an account. So if you think of him as a trader, he certainly knows little about the tools of the trade.

He appears to be a speculator. He develops a view of the markets or a particular instrument, allocates a chunk of capital without considering risk and what he will do once in the position, and hopes for the best. Always looking for the big one.

If he does things any differently at any time, he certainly does not write about it.

15542 is the all time high--- we are close, but I remain committed that the top is in this year.

you may want to take a look at the Close Only chart before you make that statement

Why?

the call still stands correct-- untill proven wrong by market action

15542 is the high in the DJIA for a minimum of the next 12 months. Mark my words.

The problem being is that you used the high of the day in hindsight, but we were actually >230 points lower (15,305) by the time you made the call after the close. You used the HOD on 5/22 in retrospect, which is worthless.

In reality (imagine!), we're actually higher than where you made the top call, here at 15,479.

This is bizzare reasoning. The top is marked on the chart--- Obviously, it had to be there prior to my posting it. surf

If the market rallies 150 in the morning but closes over 230 lower... that's a 380 point swing. Stating it's a top after it's fallen nearly 400 (PTT) is a joke.

Huh? 15542 is the all time top tic in the DJIA. That's what the call was based on. Nothing else.
