Quote from Clubber Lang:

What were your investors returns? And please be honest good or bad.

Surf is referring to a capital raise for a hedge fund. I ran money (ca. 2004-5) for the same fund about six months before Surf came on to market it. I only mention it as I can vouch for the fact he came on board.

The initial 20 million was distributed to 5 strategies--- one returned75%, three made plus, minus 5% and one lost about 20%---

The rest of the capital was distributed to a real estate fund, an electricity arb fund and another niche--- where it remains deployed since 2011--- we are solidly positive but because these are active investor(s) I don't want to get into the details.

Yes, correct. Man, time flies!

Surfy, how's the workout regiment going?

Thanks for asking--- still doing push-ups , swimming now, and walking for around an hour per day. Still nothing hardcore. My goal is to get into decent enough shape to try kite surfing.

Good to hear. It's important that you start slow and then work up to more activities as your strength and endurance improve. Keep up the good work, it will pay off. A buddy of mine lost 40 lbs (from 205 down to 165) since October by just jogging a few miles everyday and eating a little less. Only problem is, now his clothes don't fit well :D

Dipshit, I was trading in a PM capacity. I don't do fund marketing and never have.

Yes, that's 100% true. Atticus was brought on board for his trading acumen, nothing else.

Lol! I have about dozen new Thomas Pink shirts that no longer fit me--- so I am hoping to wear them again soon! I'm trying for 40, also--- put me at 185/ 6ft.

This is a low risk area to try a short. Stop loss above the recent high that occurred in the past week.

There is a technical reason for my call here. I'll leave it up to the reader to find it. il est très précis.

edit: Please use the futures for determining the stop loss level, not GLD which misses a good portion of trading. GCM13 shows 1488 or so would be a good stop area (this is *very* tight and prone to getting suckered out.. it's just how I like to trade).

Geesh, high was 1487.2. Talk about hanging on by a thread.

I'm cautious here about further downside. Contrary indicator via mass media pushing short side, and bulls will be willing to heavily defend 1345 to current levels (currently 1386.3 on GCM13).
