Or will he panic like an amateur and cover on the first rally to lock in much smaller profits?

My bet is he will grab a smaller profit. Which will be pathetic as he is only paper trading, and if you cant let your profits run when paper trading, when can you?

He will likely snatch and claim a small winner on the next up move.

think about all the new traders who look to sell option premium naked for "income"..you would think with all the free data online no one would ever do such an ultimately account crushing trade; but they still keep coming (new idiots that is)
