Took several probes to catch the SHORT TERM HIGHS, but looks likely on this final attempt.

you gotta be shitting me take a look at the weekly and monthly chart. I did quietly predict to myself that you would get back in and short again. Look the initial short was a horrible trade. When you get it so wrong the temptation is then to get back in and try and 'make it back'. You are not listening to what the market is telling you. All the signs of cognitive dissonance are present, you even say 'looks likely on this final attempt'. No it's not likely to drop a lot here, the most you are going to get is a small pullback on this trump train.
Mate I don't know what to say I can see basic cognitive mistakes, this is another shit trade, you might get lucky and get a deepish pullback. The way you are acting you will likely snatch at small profits. You need to do the opposite of what you are doing to make money. You don't keep blindly averaging/scaling into a losing position then puke it then snatch at small winners, it's all wrong.
You also say if this trade doesn't work you are not trading indices any more. This again is a basic cognitive mistake, you must be overleveraging. The result of 1 trade should never matter, only a series of 20-30 trades depending on your parameters should matter. Once you paint yourself into a corner in trading you are fucked trust me on that.
Shorting here is a sucker play, 9 times out of 10 you will get run over. Yes I have made all the mistakes you are making it's a well trodden path that most never escape.
