Yeah no wonder your success is as a salesman and not a trader. You knew last week when you got the biggest bearish signal since 2015 and were stopped out.

Just looking at buying action in the VIX futures is a pretty silly system since that buying could simply be hedging not a directional bias. But...you don't think at all apparently.
 
Let me reminisce here for a moment.
Years ago Surf ran his first major journal which was about trading gold.
Said journal went for some 100's of pages and countless posts.... cut a long story short, journal ended up as a bun fight, shonky calls, numerous trades underwater, Surf was banned, journal removed/deleted from ET I beleive.

Then Surf came back to ET, created another major journal called the Surf report, various systems were tried Neogann, Nasdaq, Surfer Channel Failure System, Price Drivers.
Said journal went for some 100's of pages, bun fight, shonky calls, numerous trades underwater, Surf was banned again.

Then Surf came back as sponsor, created another journal called the surf-report, this time CANSLIM system, said journal may go for 100's of pages, bun fight.....etc etc

What we can take away from this, and let no man take asunder, is the entertainment factor.

agree. I have always said i was trying to forecast..or predict the next market move. Some say it can't be done. It can. Just not 100% of the time. Too many variables. I started long ago using the word anticipate instead of predict. The reason. Too many traders get hysterical when they here the word predict. PA traders. Fundamental traders. All kinds.

I'll make a prediction for tomm. Ok. The market is going to go up and it is going to go down. It is even going to go sideways some of the time so several ranges will be formed. Some big. Some small. There will be wedge bottoms and wedge tops. Their will be flags..channels...triangles. There will also be support and resistance zones. There will be PB's. I am doing all this before tomm gets here. Happy? Now the question becomes does a trader know "how" to trade the above for they surely will be present tomm?

This is silly. Any trade embodies a prediction of future price direction. If you buy a stock for $10, whether it's at a 52 week high or low or neither, you're predicting it will be >$10 in a week/month/year/whatever timeframe. The market doesn't "remember" whether it had been going up or down. Markets move on fresh information.

You can follow the market without predicting where it is going.

If in the long run following the market is a profitable activity then you will make money.

No prediction is involved when all you are doing is following the direction of the market. And a new all time is an unambiguous indicator of direction.
