Well as I was thinking.. Musk publicly announced he was autistic spectrum a short while back. Chicken nuggets are connected to spectrum kids as very often they are very picky about foods, disliking any colours and certainly bones etc. I have a niece with strong Asberger syndrome and she would only eat shapeless white foods for years. She mostly grew out of it thankfully.

Its not intended as an argument at all, I just nag him since he declared as I am not an American, not a Roman like him, I will not be responded to.

I have however lured him to do so with a nugget in the past.

I have for over 30 years volunteered in hospices. I was an 'ethical' sniper and a medic, and a lifeguard. I have seen most angles and angels of death. When abortion comes up as a topic here it just repeats and repeats the same crap. So I don't respect it as larger picture, who's making any argument?

Abortion arguments come down to one thing. Is it a baby or a clump of cells. If it is a clump of cells, abort away. If it is a baby, it is unacceptable to kill the baby for the convenience (even if it is mental convenience) of the mother.

When the physical health of the mother is in question, as in - the choice is killing the baby or killing the mother - then it may be argued that killing the baby is the way to go. When the baby is not in good health and his/her prospects for life are dim, there are arguments to be made too. But otherwise - the decision really comes down to: baby/clump of cells.

And whether it is a clump of cells or a baby is not a religious question, or a moral one, or an ethical one. It is a philosophical question, a pretty stark one, and cannot be resolved in a way where everyone is satisfied.

I have myself put it nearly exactly like that at several times through my life. I made that point here recently to MW or whatever who was arguing that life was life, just...except when it was created in a crime. Pick, don't fuss.

Having been at the sharp end of people's miscarriages and mind-crushing dilemmas I now view the debate itself as horribly wrong, possibly a proof *evil. Nixon, Roger Ailes, Newt took a thing left and right used to view with near equal serious mind and turned it into a Punch and Judy show.

As was just mentioned earlier, science and medicine have changed things. Antibiotics allowing billion s more to live but also making abortion safe, advances in premature incubation.

I firmly believe that we should already have, but will shortly, be able to offer the option to transplant rather than abort. I firmly believe those who engineered abortion as a handy wedge issue have hindered advances taking energy from finding solutions.
