Supreme Court says states may end affirmative action

Opening line of the article....

"WASHINGTON — A splintered Supreme Court on Tuesday voted 6-2 that states may end racial preferences without violating the U.S. Constitution."



Seems odd to me that you would even have to find a constitutional reason for NOT discriminating against people based on race.
 
A possible thought about unintended consequences....

Ending affirmative action could be beneficial for America becoming a socialist state...
Non-whites would have less incentive to work knowing the opportunities will decrease.

Result - more whites on corp payrolls, more non-whites in gov't benefit programs...
