The left has controlled the narrative in this country for decades. Hollywood, schools, news media. People believe what they read in the media. More than 50% of the people in this country still believe that the Steele dossier is real.

Whoever controls the narrative controls vast number of brains that simply don't know better.

We need to change that and bring some balance. As we saw what happened in 2016, the left is willing to do illegal schemes, burn down cities like right now, if they feel they are losing power.

Large majorities of democrats, majorities of independents, and sizeable chunks of republicans, favor legal immigration and a path to citizenship for dreamers, favor legal abortion, favor legal gay marriage, favor LGBTQ rights, favor stricter gun control, favor higher taxes on the wealthy, favor greater pushback by government against corporate influence, favor stronger environmental protections, favor action on climate change, favor stronger assistance to poor families, and on and on and on. That's overall. When you drill down into millennials, the generations that follow, women, non-"whites", those with college degrees and those with some college, altogether big majorities of the voting public, the case is even stronger. The GOP, particularly the present Tea Party flavor of it, is very out of step with the general public.

The only reason Trump continues to get around 40% steady support is because of overlap among the various identities of non-college educated "white" men, evangelicals (he's losing this), practicing Catholics, and a smattering of small but vocal special interests like xenophobes, "white" supremacists, and gun thumpers. (I chose the word identities deliberately, because we are all a mix of identities, not just the left.)

This is why you see so much "bias" everywhere you look, government, business, culture, the media... because they reflect what most people want to see. The fact that there is a minority opinion that does not want these things doesn't change anything, they have their outlets, and roughly in proportion to their general popularity. Why do you think Fox is shifting, and Breitbart contracting?

The country is getting younger, more diverse, more secular, more unequal. Those demographic forces, and the one economic trend, are what all parties must adapt to if they want to come into power and lead. As has been said, demography is destiny.

On a certain level, that of the underclass liberals and underclass conservatives, i.e. the working people of the country, we actually should be fighting together, not against each other. But a nifty trick has been pulled. The underclasses are divided against each other and all attention is off the overclass, which is united in their own interests.

As you know, naked competition with low wage workers lowers wages here, but that increases owner's equity per the accounting equation.
