"The tyranny of the minority", indeed. Apparently it's only tyranny on a case by case basis, as per usual the leftist agenda.
I hope so Tom. So far Ryan has botched things in the House. Lets hope McConnell will keep his word. For me personally a real sense of frustration has skewed my view of congress and I simply don't trust any of them at this point.
I agree with you to a great extent; however, I think McConnell will get this done.
I and most Dems hope hope McConnell keeps his word too.Dems have been wanting The Senate to get rid of the 60 vote rule for years,very disappointed Dirty Harry didn't do it.We'll take a loss with Gorsuch no doubt but its worth it in the long term.Trump is only a one termer so were praying Ruth can last 4 more years.

from what I read... dirty harry did do it with judges.
He just did not have to do it with Supreme ct judges because the Republicans have more concern for Senate traditions than dems.
there is no reason for them to oppose Gorsuch. Gorsuch might not even be all that conservative.

This proves the left is insane.
They can't stop Gorsuch and they know that. Besides that, the guy is extremely well qualified, He's not a Bork or a Thomas to them, yet they will let the Republicans set a new precedent in the Senate. If they had any sense, they would let Gorsuch through and keep their powder dry for someone they REALLY despise.
By doing this they are guaranteeing that every SCOTUS nominee from Trump gets appointed.

They actually think Trump will be voted out in 2020 so they calculate that he will only get this one nomination opportunity. I won't speculate about potential vacancies but I will be surprised and dissapointed if the country lurches left again in 4 years.
The constant stream of stupid and hateful statements about the president will evoke some response from the voters. If I'm completely fed up with the leftists that probably means others are equally annoyed.
