Supreme Court Allows Full Enforcement of Trump Travel Ban

I'm curious how the left will react to this. I cannot believe they're just going to throw up their hands and say, oh well, we gave it a shot. I expect the protests to grow more violent.

Seems like the order was allowed but it's constitutionality is still being argued in the courts somehow. Doesn't really make sense to me.

The current decision announced today just decides whether the travel ban shall be implemented/allowed while the full case is pending. The answer is yes. This is always read as a good sign of what the ultimate decision will be but there are no guarantees. Sometimes justices will just truly be undecided or be straight arrows and give the benefit to the government but also be open to ruling against them.

While it is self evident that Bill does not set the bar all that high, I think even he would balk at that.:vomit:

You more optimistic than I am. I knew a guy in college who was a bit like Bubba. We used to say that he would screw a snake if someone held it by the ears.

the two articles I read only singled out sotomayor and ginsberg as the opposition. I was pleasantly surprised to not read kagans name.

Justice Kagan may turn out to be a judge with interesting opinions.

Ahhh, I don't know. Actually kagan recused for some obscure reason. She signed the submission of some kind of filing or plea wayyyyyy back in an ultra-early version of a case like this back when she was solicitor general so she believes there is some conflict or something. Something like that. That's my memory anyway.

I can find a link if you want I guess.

here..........whatever this says......if it matches what I said, then fine......if it says something else......fine too. Not an issue for me.

She did the honorable thing by recusing herself unlike Clarence Tom Thomas who stayed on for Obamacare votes even though his wife was getting paid by anti Obamacare groups.
