Your average moron nowadays wouldn't work extra hours even if it paid double or triple time, much less do they even consider how their current actions will effect their future.

Put on an expensive suit and become a Republican politician.
It's easy to get elected if you add a flag on your lapel and mouth off on Jesus on every third sentence.
once in office, take a page off Tom DeLays play book and force all lobbyists to "hire" your wife as "consultant" for high six figures.
And the best part of it all is you don't even need a high school diploma to run for Republican high office. Best paying gig around.

They wont work at a job that actually requires work, that's for sure. My cousin has been working at a place where they are putting up a huge windmill farm for power. The pay is $14 an hour (excellent wages in Iowa) PLUS $50 CASH PER DAY EXTRA if you show up on time every day during the week...if you simply show up ON TIME, EVERY DAY during the week, you earn an extra $350 for that. They can't get people..meanwhile the unemployment office is full of people who are deserperate for work and "willing to do anything" (so long as it does not require actual physical labor I guess)

Interesting that you should mention art.
I wrote a long paragraph about how despite considering myself quite dim, I am able to play the piano and guitar to quite a good standard, and also got excellent grades in art. However, i deleted it all after I wrote it in exchange for my actual reply, as i considered it irrelevant.
Its also interesting that you mentioned doing what you enjoy as opposed to chasing the almighty dollar, because that was also in my initial reply!
Quite funny really.
I haven't really took my own advice as yet though. I love music, art, animals. A job in that field anywhere would be great. To be honest, unlike most peopl I am not THAT concerned about money. It has never been my ambition to be rich (just as well)
I just want to go to a job in the monrning that i dont dread going to (as has often been the case) and be able to afford a few beers at the weekend and a roof over my head.
